Paris, France – November 12, 2025 — Paris’s 13th arrondissement will introduce an innovative urban heat alert network on 15 November, aiming to shield vulnerable residents from sudden winter temperature shifts. The system, developed in partnership with local health agencies and technology firms, will monitor real-time weather data and automatically notify at-risk individuals, including seniors and those with chronic conditions.
District Mayor Anne-Marie Dubois highlighted the project’s community focus: “This initiative ensures our most fragile neighbours receive timely support.” Local volunteers will assist with wellness checks and distribute resources during alerts. City officials hope the programme will serve as a model for other Parisian districts facing climate-related challenges.
