Paris, France – November 11, 2025Paris has launched Europe’s inaugural AI-powered urban farm on the rooftop of Gare Saint-Lazare, marking a significant milestone in sustainable city innovation. The 3,000-square-metre facility, unveiled on Monday, is set to supply fresh produce to local restaurants and schools from November 2025.
Developed in partnership with UrbanHarvest Technologies, the farm integrates advanced artificial intelligence to optimise crop yields and resource management. City officials highlighted the project’s contribution to Paris’s climate action plan, noting its role in reducing food miles and promoting healthy eating.
Local chefs and educators have welcomed the initiative, praising its potential to foster community engagement and environmental stewardship.
